about

a bunch of demos spanning Wonderful (and the songs that got cut) to Strangers to whatever happens next. the practice demos are from the first ever practice of Tommy, Hampton, and I, which is a funny thing to look back on. putting these out there feels a bit like excavating a bunch of stuff owned by a hoarder, but whatever.
"coming up lavender" was almost the title of Strangers, which Tommy rightfully talked me out of. it comes from that song "Smoke Signals" by Phoebe Bridgers. Ive always liked the phrase and I think it's appropriate for this- make peace with things from your past, and they might just help you in the future.

released March 20, 2020

I played and assembled pretty much all of this, except the practice demos, which have Tommy on bass and Hampton on drums. Tracks 13 and 17 were engineered by Tommy in his house.
