Written in a low point of COVID induced frustration, “Drewbie Got a Haircut” is a simple lament at the way we feel threatened when our friends start succeeding before we do; specifically, when our friends’ bands start writing songs that make us feel like we suck. Built on the vintage riffs of bands like Pedro the Lion or Wednesday, this is one of the album’s only forays into the type of 90s rock I love so much.
