about

80s teen movies, bombastic Springsteen songs, “The Leader of the Pack” by the Shangri-Las, and many more; the goal for the album’s finale is to incorporate so many of the pop culture items that won’t leave me after all these years to both mock and console who I was as a younger and more volatile person. I wanted to create something that felt massive and universal while allowing for idiosyncrasies or nuance in the lyrics. I’m proud to have the album end on such a wild rafter-reaching note.
